Donaldson's Family Line The Donaldsons came from one William Henry Donaldson, born December 24, 1788 in Scotland. He married a woman named Isabelle Smiley and they had 8 children. My family descends from one son, Andrew Nelson Donaldson born June 14, 1833. His son named Andrew Nelson Donaldson, Jr. to William Nelson Donaldson to my father William Nelson Donaldson, Jr. |

Family settles in the United States. By way of Ireland, the family came to the United States in the 1800's and settled on both the East and West coasts. There are currently Donaldson relatives living in California, Oregon, Washington, and New Jersey. |
 Donaldson cousins at the beach. There used to be a family house in Carmel, California. It was owned by five of the West coast cousins and was used by the families up into the 1960's for vacations and family gatherings for holidays and such.
