A beautiful little Valentine joined our family on February 12, 2009. A little Valentine named Miss Riley Rose Shaw!

She is my first Grandchild ... a gift from our son Jason and his fiance' Nicole. It was love at first sight!!!

It's an amazing thing when you see a newborn baby, whether it be your own or a new grandchild, you absolutely fall in love with them immediately! Riley Rose was no exception.

She's a tiny little bundle, born weighing in at 5 pounds and 12 ounces, unlike her father who was born weighing 10 pounds and 2 ounces and was the largest baby in the nursery!!! But give her time and a bottle or two and she is going to catch up!

Riley Rose is perfect in every way. She has these long fingers that she likes to tap on her cheeks. I call what she does "Jazz Hands" because she taps both her cheeks with her long fingers and then fans them out. She has the cutest hiccups after she eats. And when she sleeps you know she is a dreamer because, every now and then, she has the sweetest little smile or wrinkled brow or thoughtful look like she's...
